| Dubai Travel |
| East meets west in Dubai, where outstanding modern resorts fuse with intriguing Arabic heritage. Dubbed the City of Gold and famous for its sprawling souks and high-tech malls, Dubai is not only a shopper's paradise, but a real treat for devoted beach lovers. Mile upon mile of golden sand meets the clear waters of the Arabian Gulf, and regal palm trees frame some of the world's most inspiring luxury hotels. Sports fans can indulge in every watersport conceivable, or hit Dubai's excellent golf courses. Take a jeep out to the desert, splash around in a water park or experience the Dubai of yesteryear in the old town's wind towers, mosques and markets. We have offers to a range of Dubai resorts, including the legendary Burj Al Arab, one of the world's most famous hotels. Alternatively, include Dubai as a stop-over destination with a stay in the Indian Ocean or the Far East. |

Tipping is normally 10%, but check first as sometimes a service charge is automatically added to your bill. Dress code is liberal. Many locals do not wear traditional clothes. Do not attempt to take pictures of anyone wearing traditional clothes as it is highly disrespectful. You may see fashionable young girls at the shopping malls wearing a traditional black abeyya with a designer handbag and a monogrammed logo headscarf - Dubai is "modern" that way. |
