| Airport Directions |
By car, seven miles (about 15 minutes, depending on traffic) from airport to downtown Miami; another two miles to South Beach. |
|
| Transport |
A rental car is the best way to get around. The Miami area is sprawling and cabs can"t be found in every part of the city. The exception is South Beach, where you can get by just walking and hailing cabs. On the mainland, an above-ground Metromover is primarily used by work commuters and is effective only to get around downtown Miami. |
