| Airport Directions |
Getting from Pearson Airport to downtown (or vice-versa) can be done various ways. Taxis cost approximately $40 and take 30 minutes or more, depending on traffic. The Airport Express bus costs $14.25 and takes between 1 to 1.5 hours, departs every 20-30 minutes and stops at various downtown hotels. Public transit costs $2.25, but will take more time and require transferring between buses and subway. |
|
| Transport |
Toronto"s subway system only has two lines, however it"s augmented by plentiful buses and "red rocket" streetcars. A $7.75 day pass (or $41.25 weekly pass) offers unlimited travel. Taxis are metered and relatively inexpensive, as most trips around the downtown area will cost less than $15. However, Toronto is also an eminently walkable city - even in the winter. The underground walkway, PATH, runs 27 kilometres and links many of downtown"s main shopping, entertainment and tourist sites. |
